On the afternoon of December 3rd, the Shandong-Belarus Vitebsk Oblast Light Industry Cooperation Seminar was successfully held online at our school (academy) Qianfoshan Campus. Representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Shandong Provincial Light Industry Collective Enterprise Association, the International Cooperation Office of the School (College), and the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy attended the meeting.
The seminar was jointly organized by Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, Economic Committee of Vitebsk Region and Vitebsk State Polytechnic University of Belarus. More than 10 industry associations, scientific research institutes and enterprises from China and Belarus attended the meeting and delivered speeches, and conducted in-depth exchanges and docking on practical cooperation in scientific research and production in the field of light industry.
Li Xiude, member of the party group of Shandong Light Industry Federation and deputy director of the council, delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that in recent years, the province's light industry has thoroughly implemented the new development concept, actively responded to the new crown pneumonia epidemic and the new normal of economic development at home and abroad, and vigorously implemented the three products strategy, guided by consumption upgrades and driven by innovation and development. The province's light industry has greatly improved its variety, quality satisfaction, and brand recognition. It is hoped that international exchanges and cooperation in the light industry will continue to be promoted in the future.
Cherny, First Vice-Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Economic Committee, and Zyznevsky, First Vice-Rector of Vitebsk State Polytechnic University, attended and delivered speeches online. The heads of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Shandong Leather Industry Research Institute, and Shandong Analysis and Testing Center exchanged speeches at the meeting.
Representatives of Belarusian enterprises such as Belarusian Linen Joint Production Company, Vitebsk Carpet Production Company, and Belarusian Belwest Shoe Company conducted online promotion and exchanges. Representatives of international students from Vitebsk State Polytechnic University and Qilu University of Technology also exchanged speeches at the meeting.
2021-2022 is the year of China-Belarus local cooperation. In order to pragmatically promote cooperation and economic and trade exchanges with Belarusian sister cities, Shandong Province and Vitebsk Oblast jointly held the Shandong-Vitebsk Oblast Sister Cities Cooperation Week from December 1st to December 5th, and organized economic, trade and educational activities. Among them, this Shandong-Vitebsk Oblast Light Industry Cooperation Seminar undertaken by our unit is an important thematic exchange activity within the framework of the Shandong-Vitebsk Oblast Sister-City Cooperation Week.
